About me
Like most climbers, we’ve dealt with injuries. Shoulder strains, ankle sprains, and knee pain are just a few of what dealt with.
We’ve also dealt with bad advice—being told to ‘just rest’ or ‘stop climbing for six months.’ That didn’t work for us. So we took a different approach."

Climbing, Injury, and the Questions No One Talks About
If you’re dealing with an injury, it’s rarely just about the physical pain. There’s uncertainty. Frustration. Fear of losing progress. You've probably asked yourself...Should I push through or back off? Am I making things worse? Will I ever get back to normal?
I get it. For most of my career, I've worked with people who have battled setbacks, chronic pain, and the mental weight of not knowing what comes next. I’ve seen firsthand how an injury can impact more than just your body—it can change your confidence, your identity, and the way you approach movement altogether.
That’s why I built this clinic—to offer more than just treatment. I want to provide a system of support, clarity, and strategies that help climbers navigate recovery in a way that feels empowering, not limiting.

I started working with Zach after taking a tumble off the bouldering wall in 2023 and completely dislocated my forearm from my upper arm at the elbow. He came highly recommended by climbing gym and I can totally understand why. He's very knowledgeable but more importantly he listens and adjusts plans as needed. Not to mention I have never met a more encouraging and supportive individual. I have full motion and use of my arms thanks to him and his dynamic planning! He is the go to guy for aches, pains, stiffness, and basically all your physical therapy needs!

Our Process: Moving Beyond Injury
At Adapt Physio, we don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all rehab. We take the time to understand you—your climbing, your goals, and your challenges—so we can help you move forward with confidence. Our approach is built out over three steps.

Step 1:
We start by listening. What does climbing and training mean to you? What’s holding you back?
Instead of focusing just on the injury, we look at the bigger picture—your climbing volume, recovery habits, and movement patterns—to identify solutions that keep you moving, not on the mats.
Step 2:
We help you build strength and resilience while respecting your body’s needs.
Our approach isn’t about restrictions—it’s about making strategic adjustments. Whether it’s refining your movement, modifying intensity, or shifting your mindset, we guide you through challenges with ongoing coaching and support.
Step 3:
Rehab isn’t just about recovery—it’s about adaptation.
As you progress, we adjust with you, ensuring that your plan evolves as you get stronger. The goal isn’t just to get you back to climbing—it’s to equip you with the tools to manage challenges so you can confidently train harder and longer.
If you’re tired of band-aid solutions and want a rehab plan that actually makes sense for you, we’d love to help.
